The Benue State Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has commended the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom for his efforts at ending further Fulani attacks on Benue farmers.
IPAC in a press release signed by its state chairman, Chia Igyundunase, praised the governor for signing into law the bill that prohibits open grazing of cattle and other animals in the state . They also acknowledged the House of Assembly in their role in bringing about permanent peace on farmers and herdsmen clashes in the state by initiating and passing into law a bill that prohibits open grazing of cattle and other animals in the state which we all applaud and support totally.
The release also hailed the governor for steps taken to resolve salary issue in the state, adding that the state of emergency declared by the Executive Governor for payment of salaries to the state and local government workers has endeared him to so much to the Council.
“We admire the efforts and measures taken to by the state government in making sure that all the state and local government backlog of salary arrears are paid without further delay”.
We commend His Excellency, the Governor of Benue State for his pragmatic leadership style in which he has handled the affairs of the state in bringing succor to the people of benue under the present economic recession”.
IPAC also hailed the government for its preparation in conducting local government elections .

Meanwhile the council has appreciated the Governor of Benue State for finding one of its members Hon. Chia Igundunase, the State Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) worthy to serve in his cabinet as Senior Special Assistant on Inter-Party Affairs to the Governor.
